LO1: Create a report or presentation on myself (M1)
1. what is your style of photography ? include images that you've taken. Do you cross styles?
My influencers for my style of photography that I inspire to be like is Allen Humphris', he influences me throw the idea of how he layers his photographs to make the images blurred with a certain darker focal point and look like a form of a painted art piece. These photographs look like he has taken multiple images at once and has merged the photos together to create more features in the photographs.
My style of photography is highly mixed for I like to take landscape photographs but also like to include people sometimes to document the type of people in Doncaster town centre and how it fluctuates in a abstract manner.
This photograph was taken to show how the natural sun light can be used to create shadows of the people and to make them into silhouettes. In this photograph I have used the power of the sun to enhance the details in the photograph, for example I have kept the beam of light coming from the sun and the light rays that can be seen. This is used through the lens flare to enhance and use the power of the sunlight beams to add detail to the photograph, from doing this it has made it so that the photograph has a lead way being th pathway.
This photograph was taken to capture the colour contrast that was occurring in the summer time, the photograph shows the gradient from dark blue to a vibrant orange from the sun set. I took this photograph to show the change in the day from like to dark but the transition from one to another can be seen as beautiful. I changed the composition of this photograph to an angle shot, I did this to make the photograph more appealing and to add more of a storyline to the photograph creating meaning. From the angle being changed it makes the photograph an abstract piece because you can see that the image is of nature and a sunset but because the angle is changed it edits the effects of the photograph.
I have taken the image in an abstract form, which shows the water flowing to the centre of the image making it a composition in a form of path, in this photograph there is textures shown through the water. This image is taken on a shed roof meaning that there is bitumen being used as the textures in the photograph to add depth to the photo. During this photograph I have considered the idea of show depth of field to add more depth and interest to the photograph.
To improve my photography skills I will be considering and using the different aperture speeds, different lenses, frame rates and the different techniques that I would use to develop my skills more like the influencer I have being Allen Humphris. I will also experiment and explore different locations and how the photographs can be layered to develop the quality and depth of the photographs, from doing this it will widen my skills of photography and make it so I can then deepen and strengthen my photographs.
To conclude I will be making sure to enhance the chances that Doncaster has to develop and photograph the beauty that it has despite peoples views of it being a dump. To develop my photography skills I will be trying to become more brave and adventurous with my photographs.
